Keep in mind, some of the best renovations and improvements will not only pay you at the closing table when you sell your property, but will prove to save you money and provide improved home comfort (i.e. attic insulation, energy efficient windows).
It's important to remember that there is not always a direct relation between exactly how much you put into a specific renovation project and exactly how much you get out of it. If you review the improvements item-by-item, you'll come to the conclusion that undertaking almost any home improvement prior to the sale of your home is a losing proposition.
